CODES – ENDING DEBATE OVER WHAT NEEDS AN EXHAUST HOOD?
 Tom Johnson, Principal of Johnson Diversified Products presents a thoughtfully written proposal to quantify a method to evaluate food cooking processes.  ASHRAE’s Technical Committee for (Commercial) Kitchen Ventilation, tc5.10 meets this Sunday in Chicago during the 2006 Winter Meeting. This industry leading committee of kitchen ventilation professionals is widely respected for the progress and cooperation between its many members. FIRE SAFETY – GAYLORD DROPS “QUENCHER” FROM THE MARKET!
In a letter dated January 13, 2006 from Keven Hass, VP of Gaylord Industries, notice was given that the Quencher Fire Protection system is being dropped from the market. The reason given is the increasing lack of nozzle selection offered by Simplex Grinnel. For more information, contact your local MAFSI rep or Gaylord at 971-223-1274.

FOOD SAFETY EDUCATION – DENVER CONFERENCE ANNOUNCED FOR SEPTEMBER!
